Hmm…Let’s see. What’s happened since my first post? I guess the biggest thing in news is Virginia Tech. I haven’t really paid that much attention to it because the media makes me so angry. They run things into the ground and I wouldn’t be suprised if there was a Virginia Tech reality show in production next week. As for what happened, I tend to have mixed views on school shootings and the like. This is a little different than high school, relationships aren’t as close and appearance doesn’t matter quite as much, but I still get angry at how clueless people are. In high school we see the same kids every day, dealing with physical and mental abuse at home, getting the same kind of treatment at school. Of course, I don’t want to victimize the criminal, I think that’s one of the problems with today’s legal process. But at the same time, it just pisses me off that we see all the signs of a psychopath and do nothing to stop it. In fact, we egg it on at times. Well, anyway, enough of that.

As for life in good old Jasper, Thomas and I are looking for a house. We’re pretty flexible with the location, as long as it’s less than an hour from Jasper and under 60,000 dollars. He’s getting his job back at Elijah’s and I’ll probably be doing landscaping with his aunt and working at her plant shop, Pickles’. If anyone has knows of any houses on the market, please let me know. We’re having some problems finding something in within our budget.

First Post…

It’s been so long since I’ve had a public weblog, I thought I’d start another.  My fiance just left for class and I’m supposed to be cleaning…but of course I’m on the internet instead.  I don’t really have much to talk about, so here’s a little about me.

I love independent movies with a passion.  Some of my favorites are May, Winter Passing, and All the Real Girls.  I also like teen eighties movies, sci-fi, and comedies.  I enjoy reading, especially psychology and autobiographies. But Kurt Vonnegut and Chuck Palanuik are high on my list as well.  I play WoW (World of Warcraft), but thankfully I haven’t got quite as addicted as some.

I love fashion. I think this stems from my interest in history, though, since my favorite fashions and designers are based more on the period of time they were popular.  I love the roaring 20’s and the styles of the 1960’s. Kate Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, and Coco Chanel are some of my style icons.  If I had to choose people who are still alive to fashion my style after, It would have to be Lisa Loeb and the absolutely beautiful Zooey Deschanel.  I like their quirky, retro styles.

So yeah, that’s enough about me.  Hopefully my next post will be a bit more interesting.  I’m rusty at this!
